I Love Potter Slash

okay... i just wanted to let people know that i'm sorry for being MIA for almost 2 weeks.  i've been going through posts to catch up, but i still have quite a few comments to respond to, along with a million stories to read.  it's been REALLY hectic here, between being really sick, work, and trying to get all of my school stuff worked out.  so i promise that i will get back to everyone, especially you Raven (i owe you like 20 phonecalls... and a bday present still... no i haven't forgotten!!)

on the plus side... i've lost like 10 lbs in the last few weeks.  that is good... cept i think it came from all the stress and being sick and not having time to eat... which is bad.  :-/

So, I've decided that I'm going to try to start writing in this journal, because...... well I don't really know why, but I'm going to anyways. Originally I started this journal just for fanfic related stuff, but I never visit my other journal anymore, so what the hell.

I will say, today's been one of those 'kinda days from hell.' I finally got my class schedule worked out (yay!), but the stupid people at the school said that if I didn't pay for my classes by tomorrow then they would be automatically dropped. Funny thing is..... I DON'T PAY FOR MY DAMN CLASSES! The goverment does cause I get grants. So they are stupid, but then again... I didn't expect anything different cause they are all a bunch of idiots who don't know how to do anything right at that school.

Now that I'm done venting... on to the fun part. I'm way excited about some of my classes! I only have 1 required class left, which is going to be Earth Science (unfortunately), but it was either that or Chem or Physics, which I suck at both. So it really didn't leave much choice. But I'm taking Intro to Philosophy, which I've actually taken a bunch of classes that are higher than that, but it's just a filler course and will be a piece of cake. Plus my teacher is this cool Indian guy. The ones I'm really excited about are International Studies of Middle Eastern Cultures (which I know quite a few Middle Eastern people, not to mention the fact that I've been bellydancing for 5 or 6 years), and I'm taking this lovely Ceramics class, where I get to make as much pottery as I want for 15 bucks! I'm really excited about that one. All I have to pay for is the tools, and the clay is unlimited. I've never used a pottery wheel or anything before... so it's going to be an interesting experience. And I've not taken an art class in like... 10 years. And I hate getting my hands dirty. UGH, it's making me squick just thinking about the clay getting all crusty and dry on my hands. (ok, ok, I admit... I'm kinda OC about my hands... and I'm a constant lotion-izer.)

Anyways... I am still kinda looking forward to this semester. I just hope the money thing gets worked out sooner rather than later, especially considering the fact that my father is in China right now and won't be back until the 24th, and I need his tax info to fill out my FAFSA stuff.

On other notes... our new deck is finally finished!!! Now all we have to do is finish the last room upstairs (for those of you who don't know... we are COMPLETELY redoing a house we bought last summer). So now I can go lay out... if I manage to find the time.

OOO and I totally just met a girl last night that is a huge HP nut, just like me. So that's fun, cause there aren't very many (at least that I know of) that live around me. Her name is d_n_me94 on here... but I don't know how to put those cool little links that takes you directly to their pages...

One last fun note.... I TOTALLY helped dress my fiance in drag last week, and he makes a really hot woman! I may post pictures sometime soon.... but SHHH! He doesn't know about that.... :-)
